Some of the quests in this chapter can only be accepted using a certain weapon.
Go to the Arcana Hall and buy the Chapter ∞ weapon set, then complete Chapter ∞.

Step 2) Grind password quests to get 700 silver medals (see password list). Because you have to send them out for 125 quests worth of conquests, it’s better to start this earlier. One last note in this step: all quests (except for the non-rated arcana stone quests) will always be accessible (mercenary requests get added into the chapter list), so you don’t have to worry about not being able to go back.īetween the Blacksmith and the Guild Hall is the Conquest Hall in which there is a sim mini-game (See Dispatch Officer).
Sometimes after completing quests there are special guild quests in red that will occasionally appear underneath the story quests, try to do those when you can but they are not required for the Lord of All Extreme Challenges trophy, but they can provide you with silver medals for step 2, as well as being mandatory for filling in the monster library. Other than just in order to get rare items and the formerly blue circle sometimes becoming a weak-spot, some of the enemies’ attacks can no longer be used. When you fight monsters that have more than one lock-on point so keep this in mind: A grey circle means no weakness/resistant, yellow circle means stun-point, red circle means weak-spot and a blue circle means part can be destroyed.
You will, however, want them out of your party for the last four or five quests as the mercenary level cap is 100 and they become a burden. You can have three in your party at one time and in the worst case scenario, they will at least distract enemies and take damage in your stead. If you pick the bottom option in the Alchemy Shop, you can create materials for creating better weapons and armor from all those items you harvest!Īs you progress through the story, new mercenaries will enter town (see Gathering of Brave Souls), fulfill their requests and let them join you. In some cases these can more than double your stats! There is a counter to the left of the blacksmith with a regular shop and an Alchemy Shop. Another huge help from the blacksmith is creating better weapons and armor from monster cores and items. When the Mana gauge is maxed these unleash Ultimate Attacks when + is pressed and will help out immensely (dealing massive damage and stunning, casting Regen on your party etc). Whenever a Master Guardian is defeated, you can create an Ultimate Card for them using the Blacksmith in town if you have the correct components (do all the quests and you'll have plenty). It is recommended that you complete all the quests in order instead of trying to rush through to the arcana quests as the EXP, items and gold that you gain will make you significantly stronger and the game far less frustrating. Play through the quests with the lock icon in each chapter to unlock the arcana quests (indicated by the little arcana stone next to it) and finish those to move on to the next chapter. If you're going to grind out a trophy, finish the quest every once in a while instead of just grinding and waiting endlessly for the trophy to pop.
